In the coming days and weeks, I plan to discuss various topics that are or should be of interest to our residents. These topics may include non-partisan elections, small-town character of Herndon, timing of the metro area development, density of the development, traffic calming, closing of existing businesses in town, influence of “outsiders”, open government, citizen involvement in decision-making, role of Arts in Herndon, role of the Planning Commission, etc. Please suggest a couple of topics that are of interest to you and indicate the priority you place on them. I will gather all of your suggestions, select those that might be of interest before the election and leave others for discussions after the elections. Hopefully, we can all have fun while learning from each other.
