The website was designed to promote Herndon's culinary community, from coffee and ice cream shops, to bakeries and ethnic eateries, family-owned casual establishments, fine dining restaurants, and everything in between.

"Maintaining the town’s new brand identity, which celebrates Herndon as a 'Next Generation Small Town,' DineONHerndon.com provides consumers with a user-friendly site through which to explore all of the town’s 120 eateries," Anne Curtis, Town of Herndon spokesperson, said this week.

"Users can easily browse through the multitude of options, whether on a computer or a mobile device," she added.

Searchable by an array of parameters, DineONHerndon.com "underscores the variety, diversity and authenticity of the Town’s eateries," highlighting the town's 120 eateries, 80 percent of which are independently owned and operated.

Curtis pointed out, though just 4.25 square miles wide, the town boasts 25 different ethnic cuisines, just waiting to be discovered.

Diners can search by restaurant name, restaurant category, type of cuisine, location, delivery, price range and more, as well as restaurant details and other useful links.

In addition to DineONherndon.com, the Town is promoting its restaurants through special events such as chef demos at the weekly Herndon Farmers’ Market and “Snack Break” restaurant offerings at office buildings throughout Herndon.
