Leah M. Kosin graduated from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College in 2005 with a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies.

A week later she found herself writing full-time for The Observer Newspaper in Herndon, where she covered news, business, crime, features and entertainment in Loudoun and Fairfax counties.

In October 2007, Leah put her career on hold after she became a new mom. However, she was able to continue her writing career with The Observer, until June 2010, as a freelance reporter covering Town Council meetings every Tuesday night. 

Leah has also freelanced for Asian Fortune, an Asian American newspaper located  in Haymarket, Va., where she was hired as a temporary office manager in 2009.

In September 2010, Leah joined Herndon Patch. She began writing for Leesburg Patch just a few weeks later where she currently serves as editor.

Previously, Leah has worked for WJET-TV and FOX 66, an ABC and FOX network in Erie, Penn., where she had pursued broadcast journalism before moving to the Northern Virginia area.

Most recently, her women's fiction novella, A Home for Your Heart, was published. She is currently working on her second book.

Leah and her husband are also the owners of L & M Photography, which they started in February 2010.

The couple resides in Leesburg, Va. along with their two children.
