This year is the 29th annual Mayors Volunteer Appreciation Night.
This year marks the 29th annual Town of Herndon Mayor's Volunteer Appreciation Night. The event takes place during National Volunteer Week on April 21. The evening in sponsored by the Herndon Town Council to thank the many volunteers who work throughout the year to make Herndon the community that it is. The Town of Herndon honors volunteers based on nominations from the community in three categories, including Outstanding Volunteers, the Distinguished Service Award and Corporate Service Awards. Outstanding volunteers are individuals, including teens, who have provided outstanding community service through one or more organizations and a minimum of 100 hours of volunteer service.
