HMC served as site for annual Holiday Model Train Show.
The annual Herndon Holiday Model Train Show filled the lobby of the Herndon Municipal Center with miniature landscapes circled by model trains on Saturday and Sunday. Children and children-at-heart enjoyed the display during the weekend, and were able to watch the trains, ask questions of their builders and learn about trains. This weekend's annual Holiday Model Train Show will take place both Saturday and Sunday for children of all ages as well as kids-at-heart to enjoy. The display will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Herndon Municipal Center, 777 Lynn St. Model trains will be set up throughout the upper floor of the HMC for viewing. Additionally, the red W&OD caboose adjacent to the building will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Herndon Depot Museum on Lynn Street will also be open for tours throughout the event. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 571-323-5204.
