Three Candidates Running for 86th District Delegate
Two Democrats, one Republican are running for the 86th district; Democratic primary is June 11.
Two Democratic candidates, Jennifer Boysko and Herb Kemp, are running against Republican incumbent Tom Rust for 86th district House of Delegates. Before November's general election, Boysko and Kemp will square off in the June 11 primary later this spring. Here's the basics about each of the candidates, and where you can find more information. JENNIFER BOYSKO (D) • Originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas, lived in Alabama for a number of years as a teen, and is a graduate of Hollins College in Roanoke. • First job was for US Senator Richard Shelby. Delegate Tom Rust represents Herndon, Oak Hill and Sterling in the Virginia General Assembly. Tom Rust is a former mayor of the town of Herndon and has been serving the 86th district since 2001. Rust was first elected to the Herndon Town Council in 1971 where he served until he was elected Mayor of the Town of Herndon in 1976, a position he held until 1984.
