Herndon Festival Praised in Recreation Management Magazine

Herndon Festival lauded for its volunteer force and growth.

The Town of Herndon's Herndon Festival received recognition as one of the country's "fantastic festivals" in a new Recreation Management magazine article on making community programs special. The focus of the article is on what it takes to create effective community programs that result in bringing the community together and creating rewarding connections and relationships.  The Town of Herndon is highlighted for having well-trained and well-informed volunteers helping provide the manpower behind Herndon Festival.  Herndon Parks and Rec Marketing Specialist Jacqui Matthews spoke with the magazine.
