Displays of festive creativity can be found throughout the town.  Judges from the town’s Cultivating Community Initiative circulated throughout Herndon’s neighborhoods on Dec. 17, evaluating and then naming eight homes as contest winners. Winners were presented with a festive sign, suitable for display, and will be formally recognized by the Mayor and Herndon Town Council at the January 15, 2013, public hearing. “This contest is a fabulous way to build community and to celebrate the season in Herndon,” said Mayor Lisa Merkel. “I encourage everyone to pile the kids, family and friends in the car and …

A Herndon Christmas Story

A tale of holiday spirit centered in Herndon.

He seemed to be more taken with Mr. Klaus’s dog and constant companion…
