Holiday Homes Tour of Herndon Tickets On Sale
This year's tour features three historic homes and two new homes.
One of Herndon's holiday traditions is nearly here. The annual Holiday Homes Tour takes place Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Five houses are included in this year's tour, including a Sears home ordered from the Sears catalog in the early 1900s that arrived piece by piece on a train. Also included is a newly renovated bungalow with a hand-dug basement with an artist's studio, a vine-covered brick cottage, a two-story clapboard farmhouse style home, and a newly built stone home. The tour's organizers from the Cultivating Community Initiative say the Holiday Homes Tour is a great way to get in the spirit and gather ideas for holiday decorating and celebrating.
