Dulles Regional Chamber is holding the T3 Conference and Expo next week.
The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce is holding its first Teaming, Training and Transitioning Conference and Expo on Nov. 16. The half-day event starts with breakfast and features an address by keynote speaker Michael Cardarelli, principal deputy undersecretary for benefits at the US Department of Veteran Affairs. The conference takes place from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at the Mason Inn Conference Center and Hotel at George Mason University. The cost is $50 for preregistered business individuals or $60 at the door. Veterans and active servicemen may attend the conference for free if they bring their resume or attend in uniform. Focus of the annual Hispanic Business Reception was the importance of voting.
The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual Hispanic Business Reception at Cox Business in Herndon where members enjoyed food and discussion. Attendees were able to talk with Voto Latino Executive Director Maria Teresa Kumar. “A good traditional Hispanic gathering includes delicious food, great music and a room filled with happiness,” said New York Life Agent Rebecca Paris, co-chairman of the chamber’s Hispanic Business Council in a press release. Dynamic ideas brought to first Northern Virginia Innovate Conference.
Northern Virginia's first Innovate Conference, held Oct. 5, brought many ideas and a lot of entrepreneurial spirit to the region. The event was held by the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and included hundreds of local business professionals, educators and students. The Herndon MOMS Club is holding a swap this week, and other events Sept. 17 to 26.
1) The Herndon MOMS Club is going green this week and holding a swap of gently used items. Swap items can include Halloween costumes, baby and child clothing, baby gear, maternity clothes and other items. Unwanted items left after the swap will be donated to a local nonprofit. The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking individuals, businesses and organizations that have made innovative strides for its first Northern Virginia Innovator Award. The awards will be presented at the chamber's upcoming Innovate! conference on Oct. 5 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The awards were created to raise awareness about the importance of continuing to be innovative in products, services and more, as well as to help educate about innovative practices in use throughout the area. The 1st Annual Chantilly Day began with a parade along Metrotech Drive.
Members of the Chantilly community, including Westfield and Chantilly high schools, gathered on Saturday, May 12 to participate in the parade that kicked off Chantilly Day. More than 100 business from Chantilly and other nearby communities came together for Chantilly Day. The event was organized by the Chantilly-Centreville Chamber of Commerce, which is part of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The first ever Chantilly Day Festival will be a large-scale community event at the Sully Place Shopping Center on Saturday, May 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will include a parade along Metrotech Drive, a Taste of Chantilly restaurant celebration, a children’s fair, stage performances, a car show, business expo, awards ceremony, sunset concert and more. The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce and Herndon Community Television will host their Herndon Candidates Forum on April 18 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. During the event candidates will make an opening statement that will include resume highlights, their reasons for running and their major issues of concern. NVCP asks Gov. McDonnell and General Assembly to adopt a budget, put aside partisan differences and work to ensure the Commonwealth remains a business-friendly state.
The Northern Virgnia Chamber Partnership is expressing frustration at the 2012 Virginia General Assembly and Governor Bob McDonnell. The Partnership is asking them to work together to support policies that promote a pro-business environment within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The NVCP, made up of the Dulles Regional, Greater Reston and Loudoun County chambers of commerce, is requesting that members of General Assembly begin by adopting a budget. The group says rather than focusing on partisan issues, the General Assembly, as well as Governor Bob McDonnell needs to be focused on keeping Virginia, which NVCP says has been a historically business-friendly state, a good place to start a business and raise a family. The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce held its annual gala on Saturday night with the theme of Stars Over Dulles. About 340 people attended the event, which benefitted the USO programs, including the Emergency Food Assistance Program and Operation Basic Boot Camp, among others. More than $17,300 was raised for the USO through a paddle auction, with Del. Ken Plum (D-36) serving as the auctioneer. Other guests of note included Sen. Mark Herring (D-33), Del.
