DWI, License Checkpoint in Herndon Friday
DWI checkpoint starts at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The Town of Herndon Police Department will conduct a driving while intoxicated/drivers license checkpoint from 8:30 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday. The police department is conducting the checkpoint to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers. Motorists stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated will be checked to make sure their ability to drive hasn't been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Police will also be checking driver's licenses to ensure compliance with the law. The Herndon Police Department says it is committed to ensuring the safety of town residents and roadways, especially during the holiday season.
