Town of Herndon, Fairfax County Will Pick Up Christmas Trees
Town of Herndon and Fairfax County will recycle trees for free through mid-January.
Clearing out after the holidays? Here is how you can recycle or dispose of your Christmas tree. Town of Herndon residents can put their Christmas trees out on the curb on their trash day between January 2 and January 11. All Fairfax County residents can recycle their Christmas trees (less than eight feet tall) at the curb with the regular trash and recycling collection service during the first two weeks in January. This is a free service for all county residents regardless of whether homeowners have their trash and recycling collected by Fairfax County or a private service provider.
