A handful of Northern Virginia natives are playing college football bowl games in on New Year's Day. If you watch the Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio on New Year’s Day, be on the lookout for Alex Carter of Ashburn at corner (no. 25), who graduated from Briar Woods High School. Quarterback Kevin Hogan of McLean (no. 41) graduated from Gonzaga College High School, and Safety Cason Kynes (no. 41) of Annandale graduated from Annandale High School. All three play for the Stanford Cardinal team, which will face Wisconsin. Reilly Madden of Vienna is a member of the South Carolina Gamecocks, who play Michigan in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.
