This Friday, Jan. 10, 6:30-10 p.m. Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave. Must register in advance no later than 4 p.m. Friday. Click here or call 703-787-7300.

Make Room for Your New Christmas Gadgets
Clear out the old, unwanted electronic clutter, and make room for all the sweet new stuff you got over the holidays. Four Seasons and the Herndon Environmental Network are sponsoring an electronics recycling event this Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Just drive up, and volunteers will unload your car for you! HEN members pledge that all items will be reused if possible, and if not, they will be disassembled and the component materials recycled. Nothing will be sent to a landfill, and all items will be disassembled here in Virginia, rather than being sent overseas, they said. Recycling will be provided by Forever Green out of Chantilly. Click here for detailed lists of what items will be accepted.
