Young Rockstars Go Head to HeadSee some of the area's brightest young future rock stars show off their chops in the annual Bach to Rock Battle of the Bands. Students from Loudon, Montgomery and Fairfax County elementary, middle and high school battling bands will play a combination of original music scores and today’s popular hits and will be judged on musicianship, stage presence and ensemble precision. It all takes place over three Sundays at the Fillmore in Silver Spring, Md. ArtHouse Cinema & Brew. ArtSpace Herndon hosts its next movie night this Friday with a showing of My Left Foot, which tells the true story of Christy Brown, an Irishman born with cerebral palsy, who could control only his left foot. Daniel Day-Lewis stars as Christy Brown. Rated R. Tickets for each film are $10 and include the movie, two microbrews, and gourmet popcorn. Guests must be 21 or older.
