Ever Heard of 'Zumbini?'Introducing a new kind of Mommy & Me class for caregivers and their children age 0 to 3. Zumbini classes are "full of energy and fun, and provide a balanced mix of high and low energy activities to contribute toward the natural development of cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills. Cheer on the Herndon Varsity Cheerleaders in CompetitionCome support your Herndon Varsity Cheerleaders at their first VHSL cheer competition for 2013.  The District Semis competition will feature six local high school cheerleading teams competing for the Conference 5 title.  Herndon Varsity Cheer has won this competition the last three years straight. Wear a red shirt and sit with other Hornet fans! This Tuesday, Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. Chantilly High School, 4201 Stringfellow Rd, Chantilly.

October Food Packing for Kids in NeedCome and help package food 
for children who need nutritious food on weekends. The Assistance League of Northern Virginia will be holding a food packing for its Weekend Food

Moms Club of Herndon Halloween Meeting - Officer Denise Randles of the Town of Herndon Police Department will be the special guest speaker at this month's free meeting of the Moms Club of Herndon, open to stay-at-home moms in the zip codes of 20170 and 20171. Officer Randles will discuss Hallween safety such as staying visible and checking candy to make sure it's safe to eat. After the talk, children can make a Halloween craft to take home. For more information or to RSVP, contact Tomoko Azuma, membership vice-president, at Herndon_moms_info@yahoo.com. Boo-Stravaganza - It's a party for the little ones! Bring your kids to Frying Pan Farm Park's indoor barn dressed in their costumes for fun, games and a wagon ride.  Finish the evening with treats and a small pumpkin. Reservations

Herndon Police Public Safety Day - Join the Town of Herndon Police Department and the Herndon Crime Prevention Council for Public Safety Day. Activities and services will include: Fingerprinting with Fairfax County Police, gun safety, emergency management, child car seat safety, vehicle vin etching with Virginia State Police, poison control, meet the bomb squad, and more.
