Whiz Kids of the Week: Fox Mill Elementary Students Collect Money for Japan

A group of students and friends gathered to hold a bake sale, raising about $1,600

This week’s Whiz Kids are a group of students who attend Fox Mill Elementary School.

Fourth grade student Robbie had an idea to raise funds for the American Red Cross to help those suffering from the March 11 earthquake in Japan. A group of classmates and friends quickly joined in to help the cause.

On Sunday, March 20 the students held a bake sale in front of the Giant grocery store in the Fox Mill Shopping Center, raising about $1,600 through donations, some matched by area companies.
