Chestnut Grove Cemetery once again became the Avenue of Flags on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. The American Legion Wayne M. Kidwell Post 184, along with volunteers from Herndon High School, assemble the avenue, which can be viewed from dawn to dusk each Veterans Day. The display this year included 52 veterans' casket flags.
