Towne Square Singers to Bring Favorites to Life at 30th Anniversary Show

The Herndon Towne Square Singers are celebrating 30 years this year and are celebrating with a variety of tunes this weekend.

The Herndon Towne Square Singers are celebrating 30 years of entertaining Herndon with their spring show, which includes music ranging from Broadway to big band to the Beatles to now. 

Director Harlon Reece said they began practicing for the show in January. He said the show is special because not only does it include some of the group's favorite songs they have performed over the past three decades, but it also includes many audience favorites.

Reece said the show offers a lot of variety so there is something for everyone. He said the Herndon Towne Square Singers is known for liking to have fun with its shows, including memorizing the music, including choreography and fun props.

Some of the singers involved with the volunteer group have been dedicated members since its inception. "It's all part of that sense of community Herndon is known for," Reece said. 

Shows will be held Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m., as well as Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the Industrial Strength Theater, 269 Sunset Park Dr., in Herndon. Tickets are $12 each and are available at the Herndon Community Center or by calling 703-787-7300.
