Help the Homeless by Walking this Weekend

Reston Interfaith is holding its annual Help the Homeless community walk and mini walks

Reston Interfaith’s annual Help the Homeless walks and mini walks are taking place throughout the next few weeks, including the Herndon Homecoming parade, which will serve as a mini walk.

The organization works to help those fighting homelessness and those who are homeless with resources such as shelter, food, financial planning information and more. Reston Interfaith needs 300 more walkers to sign up to meet its goal of 1,500 registered walkers. If the goal is reached Reston Interfaith will receive a $25,000 incentive from Fannie Mae.

The Homecoming parade begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Help the Homeless participants can sign up to support the program and walk in the parade. Reston Interfaith will have a float for the parade. Contact Abby Kimble for more information at abby.kimble@restoninterfaith.org.
