Floris UMC Brings 'Music Man' to the Stage

Floris United Methodist's production of The Music Man will help raise funds for Connections for Hope.

Contemporary and Traditional Music Ministries are for three performances on Aug. 9, 10 and 11.

The production is a fundraiser for a group of local nonprofit organizations, Connections for Hope, helping those in need in the community.

The Music Man centers on a traveling salesman who sells musical instruments to the people in town with the promise of organizing a boys' band, even though he knows nothing of music. His plan to skip town with the money he makes comes to a halt when he falls in love with the local librarian.
