Annual Taste of the Town Takes Over Worldgate Thursday

The 21st annual Taste of the Town will feature food from more than 20 Herndon-area restaurants, entertainment, a silent auction and more.

The , which benefits the Council for the Arts of Herndon, comes to Worldgate again on Thursday, April 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. 

The event will include entertainment, a silent auction, and food from more than 20 area restaurants. Local "celebrity" bartenders, such as state delegates and local council members will be serving drinks. 

Participating restaurants include O'Sullivan's Irish Pub, Bertuccis, Panera Bread, Carpool, Red Hot and Blue, Jimmy's Old Town Tavern, JJ Deli, Matsutake Japanese Restaurant, McAlister's Deli, TurCuisine, Cold Stone Creamery, and many others.

Auction items include grandstand seats at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, limited edition Harley Davidson sunglasses, wine tours, golf outings, hotel stays, restaurant gift certificates, Potomac River Cruises and more. 

Proceeds from the event help the Council for the Arts' provide scholarships to young artists in the Herndon area, as well as Council for the Arts programming.
