Camp Mariposa introduces girls to Girl Scouts

Camp Mariposa introduces elementary school-aged girls to Girl Scouting.

Girl Scout day camps are one of the most popular summer activities in our area, and for girls who are not currently members, Camp Mariposa is a great introduction to Girl Scouting.

Camp Mariposa takes place July 9-13 this year, and activities take place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Camp Crowell in Oakton. Girls entering K through 6th grade are eligible; the cost is $50 per girl and includes registration fee, lunch and transportation. Bus stops are available at the following elementary schools: Clearview, Hutchison, Dogwood, Armstrong, Lake Anne, Terraset, Coates, McNair, Hunters Woods.

Families who have limited financial means should not be discouraged from applying, as full financial assistance is available upon request.
