A COMMUNITY TRADITION

For over 25 years, The Elden Street Players have witnessed that something special occurs when you gather with friends and neighbors to watch a work of theatre.

Just as we’ve shared many unique theatrical experiences with the community on and around Herndon’s Elden Street, we believe our greatest opportunity lies in advancing our art to the professional level and inviting the entire region to come discover what makes our community’s art so special.

Therefore, in January 2013, ESP’s Board of Directors enthusiastically hired Evan Hoffmann, a volunteer for more than 20 years, to lead an exciting new phase in our company’s life.

Though our name and appearance may have changed, our leadership team is still comprised of a balance of veteran ESP board members plus new visionaries.

Our new name seeks to honor Herndon’s heritage as a W&OD railroad town, our future on the Metro system, and our belief that any of our current success is merely a NextStop on the journey begun as Elden Street Players.

We hope that the members of our community will join us on this exciting journey, which begins on September 26th with the opening "Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps".  We hope to see you there.
