School's out for summer!

Parents all over Fairfax County might be biting their nails right about now, wondering not only how to entertain the kids this summer, but also how to keep their brains stimulated so they're bright and ready for a new school year in the fall.

A great way to do that is through summer reading, says the staff of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).

Last week, FCPS posted suggested summer reading lists for grades six through 12 on its website, and here Patch brings it to you.

Click on the links below to see the lists on FCPS' website, complete with library call numbers to make finding them at your local Fairfax County Public Library easy.

You can also see the easily-downloadable PDF documents attached above in the photos section of this article.

Is it important to you that your kids read over the summer vacation? What other ways do you keep them stimulated over the break from school? Tell us in the comments.
