Memorial Day 2014: Observance Schedule, What is Open and Closed
Event begins at 10 a.m. at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
The unofficial start to the summer is also a time for our community to remember men and women lost in military service.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 26.
A Memorial Day Observance begins at 10 a.m. at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Duane Young, Maj. U.S. Army (Ret.). The event is sponsored by the American Legion, Post 184. For more info, call 703-481-1200.
In Herndon on Monday, May 26:
- Town offices will be closed
- Trash collection will be delayed until Tuesday
- Public schools and school offices will be closed
