Max Impact Air Force Band to Perform at Arrowbrook Centre

The Fairfax County Park Authority is sponsoring a free concert.

The Fairfax County Park Authority is bringing Max Impact, the premier rock band of the US Air Force, to Arrowbrook Centre Park on Saturday.

The concert begins at 6 p.m. It is part of the Arrowbrook Centre Nights Concert Series at Arrowbrook Park. The park is located at 2351 Field Point Rd., just south of the Town of Herndon.

Max Impact was commissioned in 2005, and the band has seven members who perform original music, rock, country, patriotic favorites and classic and current pop hits. The band has entertained military and civilian audiences throughout the country, as well as performing for troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The group was able to first travel to perform for deployed troops in 2007, which gave the troops a taste of being back home. Since then, the group has been requested to tour on more deployments, giving them the honor of helping keep troop morale high.

Max Impact has always been one of the Air Force's most successful and highly used tools to reach younger audiences, which make up a key demographic for Air Force recruiting and retention efforts. The band has had a number of dynamic performers who help contribute to its trademark, high-intensity sound.
