Herndon will be holding it's Fourth of July event at the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Avenue.
Fun begins at 6:30 p.m., with free face painting, balloon sculptures, bingo and crafts, with festival food available for purchase.
Party band The Plaids Band takes the stage at 7 p.m.
The town's choreographed fireworks presentation will beginapproximately at 9:30 p.m.
Parking will be available at Herndon Middle School, Herndon Centennial Golf Course and at the community center.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair, but leave the pets, alcohol, glass containers and personal fireworks at home.
