The Herndon Heat Wins Virginia President’s Cup

The Heat will advance to the regional tournament in 2011

The Herndon Heat beat the FPYC Wildcats Blue 2-0 on Saturday, Nov. 6, at Occoquan Regional Park to capture the Virginia Girls U14 President's Cup.

The Heat will represent the state of Virginia in the Region 1 Tournament held Memorial Day weekend 2011 in Albany, NY.

The game was tied 0-0 at halftime. Forward Janessa Collymore scored the Heat's first goal on an assist from Maddie Watson. Tiffani Orlosky booted in a free kick to make the score 2-0.

The Heat play in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) - Division 3 and are coached by Scott Becker.
