Herndon senior Al Cahill recently competed at the National Senior Games in Cleveland, Ohio on the "Virginia Creepers’" 75-and-over basketball team.
The games take place every two years.
While his team did not bring home a medal, they will have another chance to compete at the Northern Virginia Senior Olympic games in September.

Other members of the Virginia Creepers are Zip Rausa and Paul Spishak of Vienna. Dallas Chestnut and George Arvan of Fredericksburg, Colin Church of Bethesda, Bob Stroud of Hyattsville, and Del Wilson of Burke.
