Herndon Braves Seeking Host Families for Summer Baseball Program

Host families receive free summer baseball camp for their children, ages 7-14 and a spot at the annual golf tournament

The Herndon Braves are looking for area residents who love baseball and are interested in sharing their home with a college baseball player this summer.

The Herndon Braves Summer Collegiate baseball season is getting closer and the organization is looking for families in Reston and Herndon to host them.

Players will be coming from Venezuela, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, New Jersey, Florida, New York, Ohio and Maryland. Local players from around the region will round out the roster. Many players will also be counselors for the Herndon Braves Summer baseball camp.

This is the 8th season for the program. The Braves play their home games at Al McCullock baseball field at Herndon High School. Host families receive free summer baseball camp for their children, age 7-14, and a free spot at the annual golf tournament.

Players will arrive around Saturday, May 28 and the first home game is Friday, June 3. The last regular day of the season is Sunday, July 24 and the playoffs run through Saturday, July 30.
