St. Joseph School Girl Scouts, Students Make Dinner Kits for Those in Need

Students at the school collected and packed tuna noodle casserole dinner kits to go to families in need.

The Girl Scouts, Daisies and Brownies of St. Joseph's School, along with the help of the entire student body, worked to help families in need by collecting and packing tuna noodle casserole dinner kits on Friday.

During the annual Feed a Family Youth Service Project SJS students gathered in the cafeteria and filled bags with cans of tuna, cream of mushroom soup and pasta noodles. They also included a recipe card for tuna noodle casserole, as well as handwritten notes from the girls.

The troop creates tuna noodle casserole kits are because they are high in omega 3s and have lots of protein. Additionally, a fish meal was chosen for the season of Lent. The kits were donated to Catholic Charities Diocese of Arlington.
