Herndon High School Yearbook Wins Three Awards

The 2013 book has earned a Gold Medal, a First Place award and a First Class distinction from various press associations.

Though locals have always known, Herndon High School has a great yearbook.

Now, that fact is known both statewide and nationally.

Herndon High's 2013 yearbook, The Hornet Effect, has earned three prestigious awards.

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association awarded the 2013 edition with a Gold Medal.

The National Scholastic Press Association bestowed the edition with First Class honors, with three marks of distinction—"Concept/Essentials," "Design," and "Photography."

Also, the Virginia High School League presented the recent edition with its First Place ranking.

Congratulations to the school, yearbook staff, and volunteers!
