Herndon High School 2011 Tag Day Concert
Herndon High School's bands celebrated the 100th anniversary of the school at the Nov. 5 Tag Day Concert
The Herndon High School band program's 2011 Tag Day Concert included photographs, music, memories, video clips, an alumni band and more, as the bands celebrated the 100th anniversary of Herndon High School.
The song Metal by Brian Balmages had its world premiere at the concert. The piece was commissioned especially for the Herndon High School Wind Ensemble for the school's 100th anniversary.
The concert also featured an alumni band playing Amazing Grace and America the Beautifyl. The alumni band was directed by Guest Conductor Richard Bergman, who led Herndon's bands for a number of years.

The Herndon High School Wind Ensemble and Pride of Herndon Marching Band are led by Kathleen Schoelwer. George Duman also served as a guest conductor.
