Herndon Area Residents Graduate from Virginia Tech

Many Virginia Tech students from the Herndon and Oak Hill area were honored at the university’s spring commencement ceremony.

The ceremony was held May 11 with First Lady Michelle Obama addressing the graduates. About 5,000 students graduated this spring.

• William Shorter, Herndon - Shorter received a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the Pamplin College of Business.

• David Nelson, Oak Hill - Nelson received a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from the Pamplin College of Business.
