Photo Gallery: Chesterbrook Acadamy Gives to Children in Need

Students at Chesterbrook Academy learn a lesson in giving back.

Chesterbook Acadamy in Herndon is focusing on giving this month. It was a lesson that involved the whole family.

Chesterbrook families wrapped and donated presents collected throughout December for Our Neighbors Child, a non-profit organization that provides holiday gifts for children in low income families in Fairfax County and INOVA Care Connection for Children. A representative from Care Connection for Children, Judy Sturm, visited the school to thank the students for their charitable efforts this year, and the pre-K students helped load the donation for delivery.

Chesterbrook Academy adopted 48 children in need this season through two local charity organizations, Care Connection for Children and Our Neighbors Child. CCC is a charitable division of the Virginia Department of Health and serves children with disabilities.
