Weekend Planner: Frank Zappa's Ike Willis to Visit Herndon

THURSDAY

• Stars n Bars Texas Hold 'Em - The Breeze is hosting Stars and Bars Texas Hold Em beginning at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It's free to play and there are prizes for the top finishers. 

• Rock n Roke - Get your live band karaoke on at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern starting at 9:30 p.m. Live out your rock and roll dream as you sing to a live band.

SATURDAY

• Town Yard Sale - The Town of Herndon's Employee Advisory Committee is hosting a yard sale in downtown Herndon from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Join in the sale for $10 per space or go find some steals.

• Great Pumpkin 5K & Kids Pumpkin Dash - The Anthem Great Pumpkin 5K and Kids Pumpkin Dash takes over Reston Town Center Saturday morning. Join in the fall fun with a morning run. 

• SterlingFest 2012 - Head over to Sterling for a festival that has fun activities, food, crafts and more. The annual festival showcases local businesses, religious groups and more. 

• Lake Anne Jazz & Blues Festival - Head to Lake Anne over in Reston for some great jazz and blues tunes throughout the afternoon. 

SUNDAY

• Patagonia Winds Present Peter and the Wolf - Patagonia Winds will visit St. Timothy's Episcopal Church this weekend for a special presentation of Peter and the Wolf. The free concert is part of the day's Blessing of the Animals events.

• Frank Zappa's Ike Willis Visits Herndon - Ike Willis of Frank Zappa will visit Herndon's The Music Loft on Sunday to discuss the music of Frank Zappa with local musicians.  

ALL WEEKEND

• Oktoberfest Reston - Head down to Reston Town Center to enjoy a weekend full of Oktoberfest entertainment including beer, food, vendors, music and more. Gonzo's Nose, 2U and Almost Journey will perform during the weekend. 

• Oktoberfest Specials - The Breeze will have Oktoberfest specials and German fare throughout the weekend.
