Town of Herndon Accepting Proposals for Art Grant

Grant is for projects to be implemented in fiscal year 2014.

The Town of Herndon is acepting proposals for an art grant of up to $5,000 through the Virginia Commission for the Arts Local Government Challenge Grant Program. 

The grant is for projects that will be implemented in fiscal year 2014. Nonprofit arts organizations incorporated in the Town of Herndon will need to meet the Virginia Commission for the Arts' general policy guidelines. The VCA's 2013-2014 Guidelines for Funding can be found online by clicking here. 

Applicants are to provide full documentation of the projected budget and program planning, as well as a detailed description of how the project is to be implemented.

Organizations applying for grant funding should submit their proposals by 5 p.m. on Feb. 1. They can be sent to the performing arts supervisor at the Herndon Department of Parks and Recreation, or delivered in person to the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave., Herndon, VA 20170. Proposals can also be mailed to the Town of Herndon, PO Box 427, Herndon, VA 20170-0427, Attn: Performing Arts Supervisor.
