From herndon-va.gov:

The Herndon Town Council is seeking citizen's input on programs and services to be included in the town's fiscal year (FY) 2015 budget.  The Town of Herndon's fiscal year begins July 1 and ends June 30.

On February 11, the council will hold a public hearing to solicit citizen's guidance on the budget.  Click here to provide online comments.

According to Mayor Lisa Merkel, this early input from citizens is an important part of the budget development process.  "As we consider resource allocation for the next fiscal year, we encourage citizens to share with us their views on programs and services that are most important to them,"  Merkel said.

By April 1, Town Manager Art Anselene will deliver to the council a proposed FY 2015 budget.  The council will then conduct two public hearings on the proposed budget, at its April 8 and April 22 meetings.  The town's FY 2015 budget must be adopted by June 30, 2014.

All public hearings begin at 7 p.m. and are held at the Mary Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn Street.
