Pine Street in Downtown Herndon to Close Monday

Construction expected to last three weeks.

Due to ongoing construction work in downtown Herndon, Pine Street in the downtown area will be closed to thru traffic on Monday. 

Virginia Power is working along Station, Pine and Monroe streets from to replace a faulty power cable and duct bank. The work, taking place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., began Thursday and is expected to last three weeks. 

During constuction, parking is restricted on Pine and Station streets. Today Pine Street was down to one lane, and on Monday Pine will be closed to thru traffic, though driveway access and sidewalks will be open to allow patrons to access Pine Street businesses.
