Annual Veterans Day Observance was held Sunday on the Town Green.
The American Legion Wayne M. Kidwell Post 184 and the Town of Herndon honored America's veterans on a beautiful Sunday.

The event was held at the Veterans Memorial on the Town Green in downtown Herndon.
The program included an assembly of local Legion members, the posting of the colors by Herndon High School's Junior Naval ROTC and an invocation by Post Chaplain Dmytro Andriuk.

Commander Dave Kirby provided the opening remarks and introduction of this year's guest speaker Lt. Col. Debra Biely, who served for 20 years in the US Marine Corps. Biely is the first female guest speaker to take part in Herndon's Veterans Day Observance.
After the observance, the Herndon Woman's Club served refreshments in the Herndon Municipal Center.
