Council to Discuss Monroe-Park-Dranesville Intersection Improvements

The Herndon Town Council will discuss the planned intersection improvements at Dranesville and Park, as well as Park and Monroe, on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Mayor Steve DeBenedittis and the Herndon Town Council will discuss and take public input on the planned improvements to the intersection at Park Avenue and Monroe Street and the intersection of Park Avenue and Dranesville Road on Tuesday evening.

The improvements include a proposed median on Dranesville Road from Park Avenue to Bennett Street and a proposed traffic circle at the intersection. The public hearings are being held as a part of the regular Town Council meeting.

“Public hearings are an important part of the democratic process,” said DeBenedittis in a press release. “These hearings will give citizens a forum to address the council directly on these road projects.”  Herndon residents may also provide input to the town by email, at town.clerk@herndon-va.gov, or by calling 703-435-6804.
