Herndon's 'Count ON Us' Service Initiative Launched Monday

Initiative implements new service standards for all employees.

The Town of Herndon launched its new customer service initiative, "Count ON Us," on Monday afternoon. 

The initiative is designed to enhance the town's service to residents, businesses and others who interact with town government and services. "Count ON Us" is also designed to incorporate the town's new brand. 

The initiative implements new service standards for all employees, whether they're interacting with customers in person, over the phone or by email.

“Our aim through the ‘Count ON  Us’ customer service initiative is to transform ordinary acts of service into extraordinary opportunities to make those who interact with the town feel valued,” said Town Manager Arthur Anselene in a press release. 

“The importance of a smile, friendly acknowledgment, and prompt follow-through cannot be underestimated," he said. "All of us who work for the town have signed a pledge that we will do all we can to elevate our service delivery.”

Herndon residents, business owners and others interacting with the town also have the opportunity to provide feedback on their interactions and nominate employees for recognition. Feedback and nomination forms are available at the front desks in all town buildings and can also be found online.
