Registration for the Herndon Parks and Recreation Department's winter classes and programs begins this week.
Registration is open to all Town of Herndon residents beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Registration can be done online or in person.
Registration for non-Town of Herndon residents will be open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 both online and in person.
Beginning with winter registration, those signing up for programs and classes with Herndon parks and rec will do so through a new system called Webtrac, available at https://www.herndon-va.gov/webtrac. Every user must create a new account.
Classes for the winter session begin the first week of January.
In case of inclement weather, patrons can call the Herndon Community Center weather line at 703-435-6866.
When Fairfax County Schools close for the day due to weather, all classes and programs starting before 3 p.m. are closed. For classes at 3 p.m. or later, decisions on cancellations will be made by 1 p.m. that day. If FCPS has a delayed opening all classes are held as scheduled.
