Future Lane Closures and Detours in Downtown Herndon

Closures and detours will occur from July through December to help with future utility undergrounding projects

The Town of Herndon will be making improvements in the downtown area, which will include the installation of a duct bank to help with future undergrounding of overhead utility lines.

The partial closures and detours will take place on Elden, Lynn, Station and Spring streets starting July 5 and will continue until December. Closures will happen during daytime hours between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Traffic along Elden Street between Monroe and Center streets will be impacted the most, and partial lane closures and temporary detours may be necessary. During construction motorists will be encouraged to use a different route.
