Five Things To Know This Week

The Herndon Town Council will be discussing the town's Capital Improvement Program at its next public hearing on May 22.

1) The swearing in for the 2012-2014 Herndon Town Council will be held on Thursday, June 21 at 6 p.m. at the Herndon Municipal Center, 777 Lynn St. The new town council begins its duties on July 1, 2012. The swearing in ceremony is open to the public. Find more information on the swearing in ceremony on the Town of Herndon's website. 

2) The Rotary Club of Herndon's next meeting will be on the Children's World Peace Organization which provides education in Mexico, Nepal, and Kenya on Wednesday, May 23. The guest speaker will be William Day Jr. The Rotary Club of Herndon meets each Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Amphora's Diner Deluxe. 3) The at its Tuesday, May 22 meeting. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn St. The public will have an opportunity to comment on the CIP and other issues at the meeting.
