Herndon Town Council - Public Session

Herndon Town Council Public Session meeting is held at the Town Municipal Center on Lynn St.

The Town is organized under the Council/Manager form of government. The Town Council is the governing body, which formulates policies for the administration of the Town. The Mayor and six members of the Town Council are elected simultaneously for two-year terms.

The Town Manager is appointed by the Town Council and works with the Town's professional staff to direct Town operations. The Town Manager facilitates completion of Town Council priorities and encourages the entire workforce to provide superior service to all constituents - residents, visitors, and businesses.

The Town Council meets every Tuesday for the first four Tuesdays of each month. If months have a fifth Tuesday the Council does not meet.
