"Faith, Values and the Virginia Senatorial Election"

On Thursday, August 23, at 7:30 PM, Governor Tim Kaine will participate in a forum entitled, “Faith, Values and the Election.” Hosted by Floris United Methodist Church and moderated by Floris UMC senior pastor Reverend Tom Berlin, Kaine will address questions submitted by the audience.  The event will be held at Floris UMC, 13600 Frying Pan Rd., in Herndon.  All are welcome to attend.  For more information or to submit a question, go to www.florisumc.org/electionforum.  The church has also extended an invitation to Governor George Allen to participate in a similar, separate event.

Floris UMC is a diverse church whose members reach across the political spectrum. In creating this forum, the church has two primary goals: to inject a note of civility into our divided and often difficult political discourse and to provide the Northern Virginia community an opportunity to ask a range of questions that is important to them, thus allowing them to learn more about the candidates in a nonpartisan setting.  It is not the church’s intention to promote or endorse any candidate, but to provide a unique educational opportunity for the residents of Northern Virginia.
