By the Numbers: How Herndon Voted in the Virginia Primary

Herndon voters choose Perkins and Allen.

Turnout in Virginia's GOP and Democratic primary elections yesterday was low, with the voter turnout ranging from about 2 pecent to 5 percent for the Republican primary held in the Herndon area.

 won Tuesday's Republican Party Primary for the 11th congressional district over Herndon's . Perkins took about 60 percent of the vote overall among those who voted in the Republican primary. Vaughn took three precincts just outside of Herndon.

In yesterday's Senate Republican Party Primary, voters across the state had the option to choose from , , and . Allen won the primary and took all of the Herndon-area precincts.

Radtke came in second with about 23 percent, Marshall had 6 percent and Jackson had about 4 percent. The winner will run against Democrat .
