Police Arrest Six in Connection with Armed Invasion, Robbery of Herndon Home

Four adults and two juveniles recently invaded a Herndon home and robbed two residents at gunpoint.

Town of Herndon Police have made six arrests in connection with the recent armed robbery of a Herndon home.

On Sept. 24, several suspects forced their way into a home in the 1400 block of Summerset Place and robbed two residents at gunpoint.

During an initial investigation, the Herndon Police Criminal Investigations Section "uncovered possible gang ties" with the suspects, Herndon Police said.

The department brought in both the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force and the Northwest Virginia Regional Task Force for assistance, with the Herndon police detective on the case taking the lead.

A multi-jurisdictional investigation ensued, of individuals from the Herndon, Berryville and Winchester areas, during which five arrests were initially made.

On Friday afternoon, Herndon Police announced a sixth and final arrest had been made.

The six suspects - four adults and two juveniles - are being charged with robbery, grand larceny, burglary, and gang participation.

Five of the six suspects have been arrested, and a juvenile petition is out for the sixth suspect.

The five suspects that have been arrested are Elliot T. Johnson, 19, of Herndon; Ryan Little, 19, of Herndon; Christopher Mancebo, 20, of Winchester; Joshua Byrd, 18, of Berryville; and a 17-year-old Winchester juvenile. The petition is out for a 16-year-old Winchester juvenile, who is the sixth suspect.
